Intact Genomics GV3101 Agrobacterium Chemically Competent Cells are optimized for the highest transformation efficiencies which is ideal for applications requiring high transformation efficiencies, such as with cDNA or gDNA library construction. The GV3101 strain has a C58 chromosomal background with rifampicin resistance and the Ti plasmid pMP90 (pTiC58DT-DNA) with gentamicin resistance. The GV3101 Ti plasmid has the T-DNA region sequences deleted and transformation with a binary vector containing the missing T-region results in a functional T-DNA binary system that allows for transfer of genetic material into a host plant’s genome. One-Step Lumitein™ UV Protein Gel Stain is a ready-to-use luminescent protein gel stain. Gels stained with One-Step Lumitein™ UV can be visualized with a variety of different UV-based fluorescence imaging systems. Convenient staining protocol, requiring only a single 5-30 minute staining step without fixation, destaining is optional. The stain is sensitive, detecting ~ 1-10 ng of protein per band (staining intensity can vary between proteins) and comparable to the Oriole™ Fluorescent Gel Stain(Bio-Rad). Gel Loading Dye, Orange (6X) is a pre-mixed loading buffer with a tracking dye for agarose and non-denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. This solution contains SDS, which often results in sharper bands, as some restriction enzymes are known to remain bound to their DNA substrates following cleavage. EDTA is also included to chelate magnesium (up to 10 mM) in enzymatic reactions, thereby stopping the reaction.
